1st Price city hall 'Zaanstad Parteon Architectuurprijs Zaanstreek 2010-2011'

Thursday the 19th of April the new city hall of Zaanstad was declared the winner of the 'Zaanstad Parteon architecture price of Zaanstreek 2010-2011'. According to the jury the project combines 'playfulness and festive spirit with a remarkable organizational logistic which connects the different functions of the building'.

Sjoerd Soeters and mayor Geke Faber received a small copy of the award, made and designed by the artist Bert Neelen. The original sculpture has been placed in the new city hall.
